'what do you want to specialise in'

if i received a dollar each time someone asks me this qn i would er still not become a millionaire. haha

hm, i cant help but feel as if i blogged on this before. maybe not an entire post but mention in passing.

anyway, perhaps it would be easier to sketch out my curriculum before i elaborate on what i would like to specialise in

basically my course is 5 years. first year is learning about the normal human body (musculoskeletal, nerves, organs and the various systems like the cardiovascular, respiratory system). second year involves learning whats are the things that can go wrong with our body (ie cancer). and forgetting what i learnt in year one.

third to fifth year involves doing stints in the various hospitals to pick up the necessary skills like taking history, performing physical examinations and basically applying the theory stuff we learn during the first two years.

so my response to the above qn is
i have no idea

partly cause its a bitch to just cope with my basic degree and i dun really know what i want yet cause i dun know what does the various disciplines involve.

then again, im quite certain that i dun want to do like advance surgery stuff cause frankly i cant deal with having someone's life on my hands. like i will seriously doubt myself if someone was to die cause of some epic cockup

also, i want to cruise. haha like definitely not something like working in the accident and emergency department. something not that challenging.

but not something as chillax as a gp cause well, it doesnt seem that interesting.

unless i set up my own gp chain, then thats another matter altogether $.$

hm. i hope to do something happy. like delivering babies :) but not pediatrician cause that would involve enduring extended periods of crying babies and dealing with sick children :/ and picking up a third language - baby language

one also has to consider the competition, ie about half of the cohort specialises while the other half become gp. so far im hovering at the halfway mark...

hmmm so much crap to just to answer a simple question right

so my final answer is
